Holiday Inn Express Hotel And Suites Rockwall

The interior of the hotel needs to be updated. It looks a little worn around the edges. The swimming pool was green.

The Lobby was attractive when you came in. The staff was helpful and pleasent when we checked in. We were with my daughter and grandchildren and would have liked to have full beds in her room and was not able to get that, and would have prefered to be on a lower floor with our rooms closer together. the manager did try to do that. The pool area was not very nice. The pool room was very cold which made the water colder. The pool should have been cleaned and better maintained. Comfortable room. There were red whiskers in the sink when I walked in. Pretty bad. Otherwise, good room.

The hotel felt cramped. It was sandwiched in between a car dealer and another hotel, and the lobby was extremely small. The rooms were comfortable, but less than I expected for the price. We did have to stay in a smoking room, but they did a reasonably good job of de-smoking it, so it was tolerable. The breakfast was good, but the highlight was the breakfast attendant who treated everyone like family, gave everyone lots of personal attention, and always asking if we needed something else, or bringing items around to the table. When checking in the staff was not very friendly. We went down to use the pool and there was a birthday party going on, not sure what that was about. I will not stay there again. It was not Holiday Inn quality! ...read more

Everyone was nice from arrival to great unexpected wonderful breakfast to check out.

Staff was very friendly and the rooms were large. Call for directions to the hotel until the road conditions improved.
